Some ice along bank. Good velocity; downstream logjam broke up enough to allow water to freely flow through it--first time in at least 5 years. Depth 21.6 cm.

The actual value for chloride (mg/l) is slightly less than 33. I entered 33 because 33 was the lowest value on the conversion chart. Male spring peepers (Pseudacris crucifer) were vocal in a pool near the monitoring site. These harbingers of spring bring a welcome sound. 1 adult winter stonefly observed

Saw the first red wing blackbird of the season, also saw 2 mourning doves and 4 Canadian geese. Water was very silty and barely flowing. Retention pond upstream of collection site still had a little ice on it.
