    Lots of water being released from the canal. Mallards and geese here, a smal flock of red breasted mergansers a short distance south. Fishermen on the other side of the river.

    The water is still pretty high and fast current since heavy rain a few days ago, but down considerably since the rain. No wildlife today. A lot of deer are still on our residential side of the river due to water filled flood plain in the forest preserve on the other side!
