Upper Retention Pond - North point by High Park Nature Centre
The battery in the conductivity meter (which we also use to test the water temperature) died so those measurements weren't take. On the surface of the water there was natural debris, litter, scrum, and floating algae. Water flow is slow. Water level is average. Water is cloudy. Smells of sewage.

Loon Lake West Shore by Mike Grinnell
Chloride concentration measured with TAYLOR K- 1598 drop test kit (NEW). This is titration, not by any calculation. Kit is very easy to use, with good instructions. For a senior individual, who gets no funding for the hobby of water testing, this kit, while apparently very satisfactory, is somewhat expensive.

Wendigo Creek by High Park Nature Centre
Swallows flying over the pond. What looks like paper trash floating on the water. Few ducks on the log. Many damsel and dragonflies flying around. On the surface of the water there's natural debris, an oily sheen, and floating algae. Residential and urban/road discharge from the surrounding area. Evidence of fishing (fishing line in the trees). There is algae in the pond: Cyanobacteria and floating mats. Water flow is slow. Water level is low. Water colour is blue and green. There is no odour.
