    Location is safe to monitor. There are 7 or 8 families of geese with gosslings, 1 minx seen daily, frogs are heard at night, 1 otter seen.

    Everything on the location is the same as prior. Lagoon outfall is also a pollution source in the immediate surroundings. Ducks and babies, also observed fresh moose tracks on trail.

    Weather: Sunny with a haze. Brown Algae observed at the location. There was brown algae floating on the water and the rocks were very slippery and covered in it. Lots of birds. Two loons calling ❤️. The air was hazy over the lake. Also minnows in the water.

    Good, clay. Red belly woodpecker, frog sounds at night, gosling, geese, American predators, robins.

    Foam on the water, steady movement, can hear birds, can’t see them. Water treatment plant flush and the ditch that runs through as a pollution source in the immediate surroundings. Cool breeze, light rain, no water fowl, water was a bit higher, a few birds singing but no site of them.

    Lagoon outfall as a pollution source in the immediate surroundings. Brown Algae observed at the location. Geese with babies, ducks, blue heron, moose tracks on the trail. The colour for pH on the Teststrip is darker than 8.4; however, 8.4 is the highest number on the Teststrip; therefore, 8.4 is entered as a value.

    I was closer to the water treatment plant, but downstream. Lots of flies, and they were irritating a lot. Water Treatment plant is also a pollution source in the immediate surroundings. Something was decaying, which could be vegetation or Algae near the shoreline. And lots of flies

    Lakeside Park Beach - North Shore by Community Volunteers

    Easy to access the location. However, oily sheen on the shoreline. So, please wear boots and gloves while monitoring this location. Park/Recreation is also a pollution source in the immediate surroundings. A Boat Launch as evidence of water use. Oily sheen was observed on the shoreline, but it was not seen in the lake. It could be possible because the area is being used as a boat launch.

    Can hear Birds, swallow, nuthatches, song sparrow , yellow warbler, merganser, seagull. Water treatment flushing is a pollution source in the immediate surroundings. Midges were plentiful, brown algae/slime on underwater rocks.

    Damp and exposed clay due to recent rain. Odour: River smell. The air has been humid, spring run off is done, exposed clay on the river bank. Blue heron, nesting mallards have been seen and frogs can be heard at night.
