    Someone fishing came to talk to me. Asked me if the water was polluted. He said that he’s been fishing here for a while, that the water two years ago was full of fish but now he has trouble catching anything.

    Fishermen on the pier but otherwise quiet. Several people launching small boats at the boat ramp given the warm weather. Through binoculars we could see a group of people out on one of the islands picking up trash and placing in bags. V formations of geese flying overhead continually. Spring is definitely here.

    The dock is not in place yet so a sample was taken from the rocks. This may not compare well to samples taken from further out into the river at the end of the floating dock. We will check later in the season. Some boat activity and jet skis. Very little wildlife visible other than Canada Geese on the water. Beautiful view across river to the reservation.

    Cold gray day with no sun. Little wind. No rain. Two fishermen on the harbor wall. No wildlife seen. Ice still in the Marina but the river is clear. Secchi at 20 degrees due to current.
