The water depth was measured at the sixth rib in the metal part of the bridge from the east end on the downstream side of the bridge.

Third Depot Lake near dam by Barry Campbell
The water depth was measured to a flat stone an arm's length from the shore. The depth falls off suddenly past this stone. The water level is down about 1 metre based on the water level on the dam.

Very sunny day. Windy, but test site sheltered. Rocks of road way seem to soak up heat and air temperature has consistently been much higher here, even in shade than other nearby locations.

Only recorded the Secchi depth as other measurements made three days previously. Was able to get out onto the lake in a boat.

Jean's Pond by Don Ross
No rainfall in past 24 hours other than tiny sprinkle of rain a short time ago. Clouding over now and thunderstorms expected this afternoon. Calm winds right now. Pair of green frogs in the pond along the edge watching us, Dragonflies, mosquitoes and water bugs around. Some Lilly pads on the pond. Water seems quite clear with not much algae or pollen floating on the surface.

Kan Centre Pond by Don Ross
No rainfall in past 24 hours other than few mins of spitting rain a short time ago. Thunderstorm activity expected soon, overcast now but still partly sunny and calm winds, Tested with some of the KAN students and teacher who did this in the spring when we were here and 2 summer student leaders. Noticed brown algae bloom on water surface and heavy weeds below, dragonflies, Damsel bugs, mosquitoes, green frogs, and minnows.

- Concerns
- Take sample below the first 10cm of the water. Rinse cup 3 times before taking your sample. Phosphate teststrips: Follow instructions on package. These should be used when you suspect rates above 0.01ppm (100ppb). - Dip strip in the sample - Wait 45 seconds - Compare results with colour scale - Record results - Take a photo of the strip on the reference card.
