Bowker Creek: end of the riffle at Monteith by Frances Jones

Strong sewage smell upstream at riffle and here. Alison and I had wondered if the smell we have been reporting had come from the manhole on Monteith and not the creek. But today there's no smell at the manhole and definitely from the creek. Water height at riffle gauge is 42. It's high here but not up the bank so I'm calling it average.

The strong sewage smell slightly upstream at the depth gauge and culvert opening is not present here, and the water is clear, unlike upstream. This is often the case.
