giant rootball mass of Reed Canary Grass that was part of 'grass DAM' built up in the Fall upstream > rushed down 300 feet and bottomed out just below riffle... forming a partial blockage in stream and creating some grass root habitat for...... about 1 dz. FRY ..... don't look like stickleback so hopeful that they're coho/cutthroat note:- about 1/3 of root mass has been manually removed out of the main watercourse

'giant' mass of Canary Grass and roots blasted downstream last month from 'McK Willow' bridge and grounded out just below 'Culvert riffle' to cause stream diversion >>> Root mass is now Growing in place >>> decision must be made to remove it or let 'invasive plant growth' to continue.

most ducks/waterfowl have left the Lake but 1 Loon has arrived along with some SWALLOWS ... Great Blue Heron & Canada geese remain. some Mallards enjoying the flooded protection of the hedgerow ... resident bald eagles always on the 'hunt'

Mallard dabbling at high-water's creek edge. Huge mass of Reed/Grass from upstream has grounded just below riffle and created a 'new' creek path.
