Simplex Health teststrip (ammonia - low range)

This parameter is part of the newly defined UK National Protocol as part of CaSTCo. This description is preliminary and will be updated shortly.

Test strips can provide an easy way of establishing an approximate level of the concentration of certain parameters. The data can be used for ‘screening’ that is – are results ‘low’, ‘medium’ or ‘high’ and/or has something changed significantly since you last tested at this spot.

These Simplex Health test strips detect Ammonia (NH3) measured as N (Nitrogen) in ppm*

* ppm (parts per million) and mg/L (milligrams per Liter) are interchangeable

Test procedure:

1.     Remove one test strip from the container and replace the lid

2.     Dip test strip into your water sample for 5 seconds

3.     Remove the strip, briefly shake off excess liquid

4.     Wait 1 minute

5.     Match the colour change to the closest colour on the colour chart

6.     Place used strip in waste container for safe disposal
