Estimated average water depth in meters

Along with the estimated width, an estimate of average depth in meters is useful. Again – don’t worry about being too precise – any estimation is better than none.

Remember not to record the maximum depth, but rather a judgement that reflects an average between the deeper and shallower sections. Try and estimate average depth to the nearest 0.1m - no need to enter the 'm', just the number is fine.
