Chats Dam Head Pond by Nancy Hayley

Clear and sunny with a brisk wind. Current stronger than normal as it was pulling the secchi disk. A new dead head was seen and a large stump we hadn't noticed before. Water level was consistent with this time of the year. There was quite a bit of recreational boating today and children next door in swimming and really enjoying themselves!.

Upstream of Portage-du-Fort by bob simpson

water is much clearer than in past tests. Leeches are now along the shore which we have not seen before. Probably introduced by fishermen who use them for bait and dump the leftovers in the river .

Upstream of Norway Bay by Riverwatcher Ottawa

Clear weather. Drainage pipe from rural road ditch still draining. It usually dries up in June. Any lawns near water have visible water lying on it. Again smelly `lilly pad` like plants reaching the surface in up to 8` of water but no worse than last year.
