    One canoe on the lake. Did not observe waterfowl. This lake is used for Loon Count.

    Huge amount of in-flow compared to last year. We saw pelicans, mallards, blue winged teals, red winged blackbirds, and a sand piper. Algae was already growing. The water clarity was higher here.

    Spillway is running fast. Lots of water. Staff guage reads 4.5. Water is running too fast to safely take the depth with the Secchi. Murky water.

    There is 30 » of ice, 22 is blue ice and 8 is slush ice. I had to make a special Secchi disc to fit through the auger hole. My auger is only 6 ». There were 5 woodland caribou enjoying the sun on the lake until my dog tried to herd them.
