The water level is slightly higher than normal and normal flow.  The stones have had a lot of silt flushed away but there is stil some on the stones.\r\n\r\nToday is a RMI monitoring day, this site normally has a quiet low RMI which could be a combination of shade and not a lot in the brook and on the banks but it could also be that there was the Aquilla MOD site upstream from here.  It opened in 1946 and closed in 2004. I have been told that there were leaks from the aquilla site into Kyd Brook, this may or may not also be a contributing factor. It was interesting when the national trust were draining flushers pond whilst carrying out river improvement works we had an amazing RMI of 7 on 7/2/26.\r\n\r\nTodays results\r\nGammarus 19\r\nOlive 1\r\nRMI = 3\r\n+ leech x 1\r\n\r\nCompared to kyd brook swo upstream in crofton woods today, which is a far smaller, narrower site with a lot less water within a woodland so also suffers from shade
