There is a known misconnection at this site and Thames water have tried on numerous occasions to find the source without success. Due to low water levels and the way this SWO is built the contaminated discharge gets stuck in a small pit, until the water level rises.  There is scum on the surface which has been there for a while now again not really moving due to slow low water
