Sunny and calm day. Took measurements from the dock along the shore. Lovely big green frog sitting on the rivers edge and some water snakes checking things out....large one and smaller young one. Frog stayed for quite a while until snakes got too close then moved along. Some fishermen in their boat on other side of the bridge. Usual green algae bloom on the river and pollen floating in patches too. Dragonflies busy catching bugs . When I returned a bit after lunch to do the secchi depth there was a group of 4 young people eating lunch on the dock so we had a good conversation about Water Rangers and directed them to the site to learn more about
