Location description
Ubicado algunos kilómetros abajo del sitio donde se unen los ríos Ayuquila y Tuxcacuesco, Teutlán se encuentra en el límite con la Reserva de la Biosfera Sierra de Manantlán. Sus aguas son turbias, poco profundas pero con lecho fangoso. No se sabe que el sitio lo utilicen como área recreativa, pero si como proveedor de agua para uso público urbano cuando la fuente de abastecimiento no alcanza a otorgar la cantidad necesaria para las necesidades de la población.
