Location description
De acuerdo a un blog local (http://lugaresudtcobaej.blogspot.com/2013/10/presa-charco-azul.html), la presa Santa Rosa (también conocida como Charco Azul), se encuentra a 20 minutos de la cabecera municipal y es utilizada como sitio recreativo por pobladores del municipio. Los lugareños la consideran la más limpia de la Unión, ya que según informan en el blog, ésta no recibe descargas de aguas residuales, de ahí su nombre “Charco Azul”. Según informes el blog, en la presa también se desarrolla la actividad pesquera, aunque no a gran escala. Para el disfrute de los visitantes, en la presa existen mesas, asadores, sombrillas y baños. Hace alrededor de 10 – 12 años, este sitio fue adoptado y rescatado por el grupo ambiental SÚMATE que lideraba el Centro Universitario de la Costa Sur, pero actualmente no se realiza ningún tipo de manejo en el sitio.
