Location description
La Toma es un sitio cercan a la localidad de La Cofradia y Tonaya, donde los lugareños solían pasar días de recreo y convivencia familiar. Actualmente no es muy visitado, pero ha existido interés por parte de las autoridades municipales para retomarlo y darle el movimiento social que alguna vez tubo. Se encuentra en medio de parcelas agrícolas con cultivo de agave, maíz y pasto para ganadería. Es un sitio con aguas poco profundas, lecho arenoso arriba de la represa y rocoso abajo de esta. Tiene algunos árboles en su ribera. Es posible observar abundante vida en sus aguas y orillas.
