of leaves in the brook, as we havent had rain for such a long time, now the trees are starting to shed their leaves.\r\n\r\nThere is a constant flow but the water level is very low, this must be the original flow of water as the only other input would be from what ever is flushed down a road drain or entering via the surface.  Together with water evaporation this brook is starting to dry up.  There is no water now at the SWO upstream and SWO downstream sites, the water stops approx 50m upstream drom this SWO.\r\n\r\nUnder all the leaves in the water there are still loads of gammarus managing to survive even though the water temperature is high.\r\n\r\nIts going to be very interesting to see the data once the rains arrive and the pollution again enters the noticed that the water rangers website has this waterway named incorrectly, on the website it states its East Kyd Brook but that is incorrect, its Kyd Brook.\r\n\r\nThe EDM has been offline now for ages, last time it worked was 30/6/26, its finally back online.\r\n\r\nLots of natural debris in the brook today, stones are clear, Gammarus are everywhere as usual, please see photos.  Water level low but the flow is constant, possibly a little slower.\r\n\r\nTurbidity was clear, below 12 but water rangers only goes down to I thought that I would test my tap water today, primarily to see what the phosphate levels were as there are so many variables that affect the level. My tap water was ammonia 0.04, Phosphate >2.5 and flashing, I only have a low range Hanna checker. For comparison this site was ammonia 0\r\nPhosphate 0.77.\r\nI was relieved that the ammonia of the tap water was lower than here. Factors that affect the ammonia and phosphate here are we are in a woodland, lots of rotting/natural debris plus excess water from the woodland drains into the brook. Plus building works and pollution from the rainwater drains.\r\nThe water levels were low as usual and there was a lot of silt on the stones.\r\nThe EDM shows that the CSO just a little upstream ftom
